Almost native San Diegan.  Dessert Chef/ Cake Stylist.  Owner for (OMG!) 21 years Just Fabulous Pastries, an awesome cake company in San Diego.  Cake is my life.  There is NOTHING that can NOT be made into a cake.  Trust me. 

True confession:  I don't particularly like to EAT cake.

One valuable lesson I've learned from life: I am not, nor will I ever be (again) a restaurateur.

Another valuable lesson: Trust no one.  Well, at least be somewhat selective.

I love TV.  I know that's uncool but, it's true.  I'm addicted to Top Chef, Project Runway, Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations", Daniel Bouloud's After Hours, CSI (Las Vegas-the REAL CSI), any Food Network Challenge involving cake or gingerbread, and Ace of Cakes (duh!)  Oh, and I've been known to do marathons of Californication, Weeds, Dexter, Entourage and the Sopranos.  And my new favorite, Mad Men.

Favorite hobbies: Dining, dining and dining.  Oh and dining.

I have the coolest cat in the world and even though he has shredded my sofa and leaves little wet hairball presents everywhere, I still love him unconditionally.  His name is Mr. Brown.

If I had not chosen to be in the culinary field, I probably would have done something in the arts, the fashion industry, or computers.

My favorite desserts: Mike and Ikes, anything "gummy", Jelly Bellies.  And big hunks of gianduja (hazelnut infused milk chocolate).
